Frequently Asked Questions

I have never done yoga before, can I still participate?

Yes! The yoga class is an all-levels class and modifications for poses will be instructed. Don’t worry, we won’t be tying ourselves up into pretzels! The class is meant to relax, rejuvenate, and refresh you.

If you have any injuries or physical restrictions that you would like the instructor to be aware of, please let them know before the beginning of class.

Do I need to know anything about wine to attend class?

Nope. As long as you enjoy wine and want to learn more about it, you are in the right place! We are super excited to educate and guide you through this wine tasting experience!

Are we drinking wine before, during, or after the yoga?

We enjoy the wine AFTER the yoga class! Please remember to drink responsibly. It is all about balance!

Can I bring my kids?

Unfortunately no, these events are for adults 21+. Thank you for your understanding.

What should I bring with me?

  • Yoga mat (there may be a few available to rent, please let Frances know prior to the day of the class)

  • Comfortable layers that you can move in and stay warm, ie yoga pants, tank tops/t-shirts, sweater, socks

  • Water and Re-usable water bottle

  • Props - blocks, straps, bolster (optional)

  • Hat and sunscreen

  • Pen and paper (if you like to geek out and take notes, like me)

Due to current regulations, we kindly ask that you also bring the following:

  • Face mask (required)

  • Own glass/cup (Depends on the venue)

Where will the class be held?

Depending on the property, classes can be held outdoors on a lawn, patio, courtyards, or indoors in the barrel or tasting rooms.

What is included in the ticket price?

  • All-Levels Yoga Class

  • Wine Tasting / 1 Glass of Wine with tasting notes and grid

  • Optional: food pairings, picnic, meal (add-ons, please email Frances if you are interested for pricing and availability)

If you would like to enjoy more wine, you are welcome to make purchases with the tasting room staff. Please drink responsibly and do not drive intoxicated!

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the beginning of class in order to check-in, sign the waiver, set-up your mat and settle into the space. Class will begin at the posted time, please be on-time for the start of class or you will considered a no-show.

Please also take into consideration travel time and parking. Most vineyards and wineries are located 30 min or more from downtown Santa Barbara and have on-site parking. However, if the event is being held downtown, parking may be limited and at an additional cost.

Do I need to pre-register for class or can I just show up?

It is highly recommended that you pre-register for the class online to guarantee your space in class and reservation in the tasting room. A small amount of tickets may be available at the door, as long as the class is not sold out. Due to current restrictions, there may be a limit to the number of participants per event. Follow our Instagram and Facebook for the most up-to-date information regarding each class.

What if it rains or class is cancelled?

Most Wine and unWind events are held rain or shine with the exception of a few places. Generally, there are covered/indoor areas on the property where we can hold the yoga class in the case of rain. If your event is held at a property with no rain cover, you will be notified via email/phone and we will reschedule the event to another date.

What if I have to cancel?

Wine and unWind event tickets are non-refundable, however, you may choose to receive a credit for a future event. Please email Frances.

Do you offer online or private classes?
